Ten years ago, the Hope Border Institute opened its doors as a one-of-a-kind strategy center for faith and community leaders working for justice and solidarity at the US-Mexico border.  

 

Over this past decade, we’ve put our faith into action and made a difference.​​​​​

​

Some of our accomplishments include:

• Channeling over 2 million dollars to support low-income El Paso families left behind during COVID-19

• Protecting vulnerable women in danger of domestic abuse by enacting policies limiting police cooperation with immigration enforcement

• Keeping families together as one of the first organizations in the country to document the reality of family separation at the border

• Meeting the humanitarian needs of thousands of refugees at the US-Mexico border

• Bringing together global faith leaders to promote safe and humane solutions for migrants in the Americas

• Supporting free and fair elections by training human rights defenders in Guatemala
