The Hope Border Institute and the Center for Migration Studies of New York have launched the "Catholic Immigrant Prophetic Action Project" (Catholic IMMpact) to support the Catholic Church's response to mass deportations.
During a private audience at the Vatican on October 8th, 2025, the Hope Border Institute and Bishop Mark J. Seitz presented Pope Leo XIV with messages from members of the immigrant community in the United States.
